Connections

The list of every account you have connected, what state each one is in, and the per-account switches that take one out of the line of fire without unpicking anything else.

How the list is arranged

Each broker connection is a row, and each row expands to show the sub-accounts underneath it. A row carries the connection's name and broker, each sub-account's identifier and balance, its daily P&L, its status, whether the connection is Demo or Live, the strategies currently routed at it, and the actions below. Paper accounts sit in the same list.

Figures update in place every few seconds while the tab is open. Open P&L is priced from a live quote feed; when that feed is reconnecting a figure holds at its last price and turns yellow rather than disappearing. The search box filters by account name or identifier, and you can drag connections into whatever order you think in. The order sticks.

What the status says

  • Broker session is live: the engine is holding a session for that account and signals can route to it.
  • Muted: the account is refusing strategy signals. The icon's tooltip says why: you muted it, Copy Trader is driving it, or an administrator timed the account out.
  • Session expired: the broker needs you to sign in again. Press Reconnect.
  • No live broker session: the connection is down. Nothing under it will trade until it is back.

Per-account actions

  • Mute and unmute. The speaker icon. On a sub-account it refuses strategy webhooks for that one account; on the connection row it mutes every sub-account under it at once. Muting takes effect immediately, does not unlink anything and does not close anything. Your traders, multipliers and routing are all exactly as you left them. Copy Trader mirroring is unaffected by a mute.
  • Flatten. On a sub-account: market-close everything that account is holding, now, because you asked. It asks you to confirm.
  • Reconnect. Renews the broker session for a connection that has expired.
  • Refresh. The refresh control in the header pulls balances and positions again for every connection.
  • Rename. Changes the connection's label only. Routing is keyed to the account itself, so renaming never breaks a trader.
  • Delete. Removes the connection and clears the routing that pointed at it. Open positions are not touched. Deleting a paper account also deletes its recorded trades.

Hiding account numbers

Hide ID in the header masks every account identifier and balance on screen. It is there for screen shares, screenshots and sitting in a public place. It changes nothing about what is routed or connected, and you can flip it back at any time.

Risk Management preview

Below the list sits a Risk Management card showing a daily loss limit, max contracts, trailing drawdown and auto-flatten per account. It is labelled Preview: design only, no limits are enforced yet, and that label is accurate. Nothing on that card reaches the engine today. See Risk controls for what does.

Muting versus powering off

These two are easy to confuse and they solve different problems.

  • Mute an account when you want one account to sit out while everything else keeps running. It is per account, it is instant, and it applies to every strategy pointed at that account at once.
  • Power a trader off when you want one strategy to stop trading. It is per trader, and it clears that trader's routing at the engine. See Traders and routing.

Neither one closes a position. If you want to be flat, flatten. See Risk controls.

Which accounts can be traded

Only the sub-accounts under connections you have authorised yourself are ever eligible. The engine checks ownership on every fill it fans out rather than trusting a setup-time decision, so a copied fill can never cross into an account that is not yours. That check is not something you configure and it is not something you can turn off.
