Strategies
A strategy is a source of signals. It can be yours, fired by your own system, or one of Quanify's published strategies with its full record on the card. Both route through exactly the same rails.
Creating your own
Press Create Strategy in the My Strategies card. You get a webhook URL and a small set of controls, all of which you can change later from Edit Strategy.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Strategy name | How it appears everywhere — the trader picker, your trader cards, the signal log. |
| Webhook password | Optional second credential the alert must carry alongside the URL token. Leave it blank to rely on the token alone. |
| Contract size | 0 means use the contract count in the alert, falling back to 1 if the alert does not carry one. Any other number overrides every incoming signal to exactly that size. |
| Description | Optional note to yourself. |
| Allow 2+ entries | Off by default. When it is off, a signal that would grow a position you already hold in the same direction is refused. Scaling out is always allowed. Turn it on for strategies that deliberately build into a position. |
New strategies are created powered off. Nothing routes until you enable the strategy and arm a trader that points it at accounts.
The controls on a strategy row
- Power — enable or disable the strategy. A disabled strategy ignores incoming signals no matter what is routed at it.
- Webhook setup — the copy-ready URL and alert message. See Webhooks and alerts.
- Edit — the settings above.
- Rename — changes the label without touching routing.
- Delete — removes the strategy and the routing that used it. It does not close any position that strategy opened. If you are holding something you do not want, close it before you delete.
You can reorder your strategies by dragging, and minimise the whole card when you want the library below it to have the screen.
Quanify strategies
The published library sits underneath your own. Every card carries the record rather than a headline number: net P&L, win rate, profit factor, max drawdown, Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar, recovery factor, the equity curve, the monthly P&L calendar and the full trade list. Open a card to see all of it — Analytics and metrics explains what each figure means.
Strategies are grouped by section — futures, stocks, crypto — and you can filter the library by asset. Because two strategies can share a name in different sections, the section is shown under the name everywhere a strategy appears: on the library, in the Add Trader picker, and on your trader cards.
Access to the published library depends on your plan. See Plans and billing.
Adding one
Open a card and press Add Strategy. It lands in My Strategies and from that moment behaves exactly like a strategy you wrote yourself: you build a trader, choose accounts and multipliers, and power it on. Anything published while your subscription is active is yours to route.
Remove takes it back out of your library. As with deleting your own strategy, removing does not close anything you are holding.
Open positions
The Strategies tab carries a collapsible Open Positions panel showing what is live right now across your accounts, with the side, the instrument, the strategy that opened it and the account holding it. It is a read-out, not a control surface — closing a position is done from Account Manager or Control Center.
The signal list
Alongside it sits the list of signals the engine has received for your strategies, with the side, instrument, strategy, time and the routing latency for each one. It is the fastest way to confirm an alert actually arrived, separately from whether it found an eligible account to trade.
Live recording
A published strategy's signals are recorded from the moment they fire, whether or not they filled for you. That is what builds the forward record on the card over time, next to the historical backtest the strategy launched with. On the strategy page the two are shown together with the boundary marked, so you can always see where the backtest ends and live recording begins.
