Connect a broker

Quanify trades your accounts where they already are. There is no Quanify brokerage, no funding step, and no transfer.

Supported brokers

The connect flow lists every integration and marks the ones that are not open yet, so you can see what is coming without guessing.

An account is portable across the product. The same connection serves Automation and Copy Trader — you never connect a broker twice for two features.

Adding a connection

Press Add Account in Account Manager. The flow is three steps.

  1. Name the connection. A short label so you can tell it apart from your others — "Tradovate — Live #1", say. You can rename it later without breaking anything you have routed.
  2. Choose the broker. You are redirected to the broker's own sign-in page.
  3. Choose the environment. Demo for paper trading, or Live for real money and funded accounts.

Sign-in happens at the broker, not at Quanify. On an OAuth connection Quanify never sees or stores your broker password, and the authorisation can be revoked from the broker's side at any time.

Accounts and sub-accounts

One connection can carry many sub-accounts, and each one is routed independently. That distinction runs through the whole product, so it is worth reading twice.

  • Routing is keyed to the sub-account itself, not to its display name, so renaming an account at the broker does not break a trader you have already built.
  • Each sub-account carries its own multiplier on each trader, its own position state, and its own mute switch.
  • Muting one sub-account makes it refuse every signal while the rest of the connection keeps trading. Muting does not unlink anything — your routing is untouched and unmuting picks up exactly where it left off.

Demo, live and evaluation

The environment you choose at step three is a property of the connection: the broker knows whether the whole login is demo or live. A trader thinks in finer terms than that, so Quanify also lets you tag each sub-account yourself as Live, Demo, Funded, Eval or None. That tag is your own label for your own benefit — it shows in the account's Type column so a funded account never gets confused for a practice one at a glance.

Prop-firm and funded accounts

Quanify connects at the platform level, not the firm level. A funded or evaluation account from a firm that runs on a supported platform connects through that platform in the normal way, and behaves like any other sub-account once it is in.

The tooling is yours; the rulebook is your firm's. Check your firm's position on copiers and automation before you route anything at a funded account. There is more on this in Prop-firm and evaluation accounts.

Keeping a connection healthy

Each connection row shows whether the engine is holding a live session with the broker. Broker sessions expire on their own schedule, so a connection that was fine yesterday can need re-authorising today.

  • Connected — the broker session is live and signals can route.
  • Session expired — press Reconnect and sign in again at the broker. Your routing, multipliers and traders survive; only the session is being renewed.
  • Disconnected — there is no live broker session. Nothing routes to any sub-account under it until it is back.

A dropped connection does not close anything. Positions you are already holding stay open at your broker, and you can close them there.

Disconnecting

Removing a connection clears the routing that pointed at it, and any trader that had nothing left to route is tidied up with it. What it does not do is touch your positions. Closing them is a decision that stays with you, at your broker, and Quanify will not make it for you.
